The end of another special year is almost here. And at the end of the year, we take stock of the growth our reservation system has made. The year, of course, continued where 2020 ended, with corona. Then we were hopeful that 2021 was going to bring what we all hoped for; being able to reserve various activities and packages without restrictions. Unfortunately, this is not over yet and we are currently in the fifth corona wave. Nevertheless, we can look back on a positive year and we have gone through various developments in our system.

The focus this year was on the ease of use and expansion of functionalities within our reservation system from our existing and new customers. A few major changes have been developed and implemented in this regard.

New reservation module
Our way of accepting, processing and displaying reservations has been completely examined. With the new reservation module it has been made easier to find the best distribution for every activity. We now provide our users with even more options within the reservations. In addition to the basic information that comes in with every reservation, the processing of changes and additions after a reservation has been improved. This gives you as a user the opportunity to immediately see at a glance what the details of a reservation are through the logbook & journal.

You now also have more options to add and return various payment methods. By further expanding the current link with Mollie, you can now also directly process a refund or payment request via Mollie.

Since corona often leads to reservations that have to be canceled, you have the option to cancel your reservation. This can be held internally or canceled immediately with a confirmation to the guest with reason. In addition, you can easily change the reservation via the new reservation and move it to a suitable time, for example. The system immediately calculates the correct availability at that moment.

Expand planning board
In addition to the fact that the reservations have been revised, the planning board has also been improved on various points. There are now more views that are possible to adapt to the best schedule board version of your company. Because opening hours often change, we have also ensured that the planning board responds correctly. This way you can immediately see the current opening times within the accommodation in the planning.

Front-office
Also called the guest side, it has had an update to further match the corporate identity of your company. In addition to our standard theme, you now have the option to indicate a color code for various parts. This way you are completely flexible in addition to indicating images, texts and layouts to a customized reservation page.

Point of Sales links
Finally, one of the major changes is the various updates that have been made to the existing POS connections and discussions are underway with other POS suppliers to offer new options. So hopefully we will have more news about this soon.

If we then look at all the changes that our system has undergone in numbers, we arrive at the following;

– Number of new versions: 57
– Number of new features: 157
– Number of new (external) modules: 5
– Number of improvements: 198

Despite the turbulent year, we are entering 2022 with a good positive feeling. We are currently busy developing new modules, customization for customers and expanding our reservation system in various parts.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all existing and new customers for their trust. And let’s really hope that after this lockdown the rules and possibilities will move in the right direction. In this way, together with our partners, we can help your company and offer the guest a unique experience for various activities and packages.

Let’s stay healthy, keep discovering new possibilities and always look for the best guest experience in the Leisure industry. Have a good end everyone and a healthy and sporty New Year!
